Nearly 90 sailors and friends filled Japps for the start of a excellent night out in OTR. Japps made a special rum drink which we dubbed “The Whaler” and that along with an extensive cocktail bar and appetizers had everyone warmed up for the Tunnel Tour.

The highlight of the evening was in the tunnels while Chris told the story of the tunnels discovery. Cincinnati’s history is fascinating. After the tour we headed to Moerlein Tap Room for company, food, beer and a few pool games. Some found dinner in OTR.

Many, many thanks to Chris and Jen Frutkin for suggesting this event, making it happen and in the tunnel libations. Saturday night hit it out of the park!

The 2017 junior program goals include buying a new safety boat and hiring a top notch 420 coach for camp. Many thanks to all who participated. Cowan Lake is a much beloved place and we are fortunate to sail in Cincinnati.
