It’s not too late to RSVP for the tunnel tour.  We have a big group, but we can go bigger!!  Tunnel Tour proceeds benefit  the junior program.   Don’t miss the fun.

Bring your friends! Gather Gun Goes off at 4:00.

Japps is Molly Wellmann’s bar (5 O’Clock Tales fame on WNKU.)  We’ve got our own private party to start with the group for appetizers provided by CLSA Junior Program and a cash bar.  1134 Main Street.

Enjoy the Queen City Underground Tour from 6:30 – 8:00.  It’s a professionally  guided tour just for us that was graciously arranged by Chris Frutkin.

Join us to learn about Cincinnati’s hidden history on one of the Top Five Underground Tours in the U.S.* Enjoy a stroll through Over-the-Rhine, home to America’s largest set of historical landmarks. Visit buildings in the Gateway District that were home to over 130 saloons, bars, beer gardens, and theaters that hosted iconic entertainers like Buffalo Bill Cody. Then, descend below the city streets to a hidden crypt where some of Cincinnati’s first residents were buried. Next return underground to explore newly discovered tunnels vital to Cincinnati’s brewery heritage.  End at Taft Ale House for food and libations.

Cost: $35 per person. Mail checks (payable to CLSAT) to Katie Nappi, 644 Watch Point Drive, Cincinnati, OH 45230 or pay at the door.  And, yes, all the proceeds go to the junior program.

We need a head count so please RSVP with a quick note to me.  Include your friends and neighbors for a fun night out in OTR.

And if you want more history, the book When Beer Was King is a terrific history of OTR and begins the discovery of the tunnels in Chris’ building.

All the proceeds go to the junior program and this year we are looking into buying  used whaler and hiring a coach for camp.  Plan to come and bring friends!
