Join CLSA for a fun night out in ORT and help fund the junior program!

On Saturday February 25, we begin at Molly Wellmann’s Japps for adult libations and appetizers (4:00 pm). From there we head to the 6:30 pm Queen City Underground Tour which was very graciously arranged by our own Chris and Jen Frutkin.

Did you know the discovery of tunnels in Cincinnati begin with a building Chris  purchased?  He bought four floors but blue prints showed six.  Curiosity and a sledge hammer took over.  If you want the entire story, sign up.

This is a private tour for CLSA members and friends.  The more people participating, the more money raised for the juniors!!  Our goals this year include upgrading the support boats and coaching at camp so bring your friends!

The tour ends at Taft Ale house but the movable feast continues as we like.

RSVP in one of three ways:

  • Send me a note then pay cash or check at the door ($35 per ticket).
  • Mail a check s (payable to CLSAT) to Katie Nappi, 644 Watch Point Drive, Cincinnati, OH 45230
  • Log onto the new CLSA webpage, navigate to events and register and pay (coming soon!)

OTR has a fascinating history…and sailors and beer go together!

The official tour description:

Visit buildings in the Gateway District that were home to over 130 saloons, bars, beer gardens, and theaters that hosted iconic entertainers like Buffalo Bill Cody. Then, descend below the city streets to a hidden crypt where some of Cincinnati’s first residents were buried. Next return underground to explore newly discovered tunnels vital to Cincinnati’s brewery heritage. Finally end the tour with a visit to the Taft Ale House
