Junior sailing kicks off this weekend and a good group is ready to go sailing. Don’t miss the fun!
Sail camp is June 11-16. If you know a potential young sailor, please put them in touch.
Beginners will sail either Optis or Lasers depending on their size. No boat? No problem! Opti’s are available so that the sailors can try it out sailing with making a big investment and they have the option to sail the boats all summer. There may be Lasers available as well.
Many good sailors who are moving into the 420’s this summer. The goal is to learn the 420’s, teamwork and level-up their skills and start traveling. I’m thrilled to have such a strong group as this is an exciting new direction for the junior program!
New sailors are welcome to try out the 420’s after camp. It’s always fun to sail with friends.
Of course, there will be an advanced Opti and Laser group as well.
Most importantly camp is fun and followed by more fun. Andy and I didn’t care if our girls raced or not. We care that they enjoy time at the club as the rest will take care of itself. One interesting trend is that grandparents are introducing their grandchildren to sailing. What a wonderful way to bond!
Camp registration links are below and even with membership it’s still one of the most affordable camps/club dues you’ll find.
