Eight Bells: Betty Duncan

Laurie Duncan, Betty’s daughter, sent the note below yesterday.   Betty was a lovely, gracious person and we will miss her.

Mom died peacefully at home last night. Lynn (my twin) was with her. Brother Bruce & I were with her until last Wed/Thurs.

 

We are thinking of a memorial service at Wyoming Presbyterian Church this summer. Details TBD. I think the obit will be in Sunday's Cincinnati Enquirer.

 

We Duncan kids would like to go out in Thistles this summer, if possible, when we're back for the memorial service. Mom's heart remains at the helm of her Thistle at CLSA! Then perhaps we can raise a toast to Skipper Extraordinaire up at the Clubhouse.

 

Sure gonna miss my favorite Mom in the whole universe. Glad we had these decades of wonderful adventures together. She was indeed a legend. 

 

Please let the other sailors that knew Mom know of her death.
