Dear friends and colleagues,

FYI my article on the question of Covid death counts was finally published this morning in Time magazine (a full year after I first pitched an earlier version to the Wall Street Journal 😊 ):

COVID-19 Is No Longer a Public Health Emergency | Time

There probably shouldn’t be a paywall issue, especially if you haven’t read a Time article in a while, but just in case I’m also attaching a PDF version (but the reference links aren’t active on the PDF).

Fortuitously, only yesterday I happened to hear about a new study out of Denmark, actually the first one in a peer reviewed journal confirming the (rather large) overcounting of Covid deaths. Luckily, the Time editor allowed me to include mention of it at the last moment; it certainly seemed worth delaying the publication by a day?…
