Use Libre Office instead of MS Office. Conceptual understanding is what we should aim for, rather than a particular software. Things like bold, italics and underline are the same across applications, irrespective of which one is being used.
I thought there were no issues regarding Baraha. You can perhaps have a look at alternatives as well. I have used Quillpad which is extremely good. It's an online application though (I know Google also provides an online version, but I found Quillpad nicer) Quillpad is better because it uses dictionary and prediction, so you don't have to type words as 'rAShTrabhAShE'. It can be typed as 'rashtrbhashe' itself, and it will write it correctly. Same Baraha rules also work anyway. The only catch, of course, is that it's online.
By the way, don't think about MS Office, because the
new MS Office (For Windows 8) is going to be very different. Interfaces will constantly change, so Libre Office (Or Open Office etc.) should be the way to go, in my opinion.
Forgot to mention this, what to do about the MS office and Baraha on
the new systems? I have the win7 OS, just haven't installed yet.
