to Courtside Masters

Dear Courtsiders,

First and foremost, I hope you and your families are Safe & Healthy!  Even though swimming is often an individual sport, at Courtside, we are definitely a community and extended family!!  I am home right now, like I am sure all of you are, wishing we were poolside and lap swimming with our friends at the club.

I just wanted to shoot you a brief update in regards to Aquatics here at Courtside;

1)      The Bay Club Company wants to get you back in the pool as soon as possible!  Plans are being worked on every day to get our doors opened as quickly as we can.

2)      USA Swimming – USA Swimming is mandating the cancellation of all its sanctioned events across the U.S. through April 30, 2020. This will continuously be reassessed based on the health and governmental authorities’ information. Visit www.usaswimming.org for more information.

3)      Swimming for kids – since many of the schools will now be shut down for the remainder of the school year, we know you want to keep your kids active, safe and engaged.  We are working on plans to have half day Swim Camps, once we are allowed to.  Please feel free to shoot me any ideas or suggestions – they would be appreciated!

4)      US Masters – US Masters has canceled all educational courses and swim meets through April 30, 2020. Visit www.usms.org for more information.

Below is a correspondence sent out to the Membership last night.  If you did not receive it, please check your spam folder. If you still did not receive the email, please log on to your Bay Club Connect account and under “profile” double check that your email is up to date. If you need any assistance, please reach out to me and I am happy to help you. J

I certainly have appreciated all your support over recent months, the past year and a half!  During these challenging times, it is when I am most proud to be a part of this fabulous club.  Seeing the way everyone supports each other is really what brings me the most amount of joy and happiness.  Any Membership Dues you can continue to contribute to help keep my fellow Associates compensated would be a blessing to our Courtside team.

If you have any questions at all, please do not hesitate to ask!  I’m looking forward to a very fun summer with all of you.

Bay Club

Dear Bay Club Members,

In these very uncertain times, we are taking one day at a time as we try to make the best decisions for our Members, Associates, and their families. Starting tomorrow, please expect a Daily Bulletin that will provide fitness, sports, family, and hospitality-themed tips to help you survive the challenging times ahead and stay connected to our Bay Club community. Some of our top professionals will be providing fitness classes, stay-at-home kids projects and lessons, sports drills for the driveway or cul-de-sac, and nutritious recipes for the family. We will do our best to help everyone through this unprecedented time.

Our goal is to continue employment and pay our Associates their wages and health insurance during the time that services are suspended at our clubs. We are attempting to maintain a certain amount of revenue coming in from our loyal membership base to cover a fraction of the pay for our front-line Associates—housekeeping, service providers, front desk staff, and managers—to support their families. After considering quite a few options, we would like to propose the following three:

  1. Continue to pay full dues during the time that club services are suspended
  2. Pay 50% of your monthly dues while club services are suspended
  3. Pay $0 dues while club services are suspended

If you would like to continue to pay full dues during this time, you do not need to do anything. Billing will continue at the normal monthly cadence. If you would like to pay 50% or pay $0 dues, please contact your Bay Club team at SanJos...@bayclubs.com and they will make the necessary adjustment effective March 16, 2020.

We intend to open our clubs and welcome our Members back as soon as it is safe and appropriate to do so. We hope that our Members will choose to stay with us, so that we may continue to build our vibrant Bay Club community, as we have for the last 40 plus years.

Lastly, we want to say thank you. We are incredibly grateful for your support, as well as your calls and emails checking on our Associates. Your loyalty and dedication to our community are tremendously appreciated. We are going to come out of this together.

Yours in Good Health,
