How to close new registrations in course

Hi everyone, 

Is there a way to close new registrations but still to allow those who have registered for the course to access the course materials?

We want to re-launch courses and as our courses are self-paced, we want to limit new incoming students but still leave it open for those that need to finish the course. We have 8 courses with thousands of students so adding their email addresses to each course is not possible.
