Hi all,

I would like to share with you my updated version of Course Builder, the modifications are:
  • Add wiki page
  • Add markdown syntax for wiki and announcements pages
  • Allow to use external forum in addition to embedded one, forum tab forward to external page
  • Add Google calendar
You can find the source code at: https://code.google.com/p/cb4oru. And an instance is running at http://cb4oru.appspot.com/

Kind regards,

Hi,

Sorry by my late answer, I have not realized about this question.
I don't know why I have not received a notification.

Replace "calendar_embed_url" in the "course.yaml" file (https://code.google.com/p/cb4oru/source/browse/course.yaml?name=v13-02) by the link to your Google embedded calendar.
In the "course.yaml" is written the following link as an example:

   calendar_embed_url: https://www.google.com/calendar/embed?showTitle=0&showPrint=0&showTz=0&height=600&wkst=2&hl=en&bgcolor=%23FFFFFF&
                                  amp;src=c2jvev72r3coiboc53j2k9b8vg%40group.calendar.google.com&color=%23125A12&ctz=Europe%2FMadrid

For creating the link you have to share a google calendar you have created.
Go to "calendar details" and copy "the code provided to embed the calendar in a webpage, you have to copy only the link information.

In my example from:
<iframe src="https://www.google.com/calendar/embed?src=c2jvev72r3coiboc53j2k9b8vg%40group.calendar.google.com&ctz=Europe/Madrid" style="border: 0" width="800" height="600" frameborder="0" scrolling="no"></iframe>
I get:
https://www.google.com/calendar/embed?src=c2jvev72r3coiboc53j2k9b8vg%40group.calendar.google.com&ctz=Europe/Madrid

Let me know if my answer is clear enough.

Hello,

I've tried to insert a google calendar following these instructions but something is wrong cause i do not get it.

Maybe  I must to consider some changes for 1.6.0 version?

Regards
Amparo

Amparo,
Are you using the simple iFrame or the original YouTube iframe. There is a thread in this forum about replacing the iframe text with a simpler version to allow for general embedding (not just youtube videos).

Hi,

Are you talking about Course Builder v1.6?
In this case I think that you have to migrate the modifications of cb4oru to this version. And depending on how much the code of Course Builder has changed from v1.2 to 1.6, it could be more or less work.

Kind regards
