Despite watching shooting stars above the silver laced sea, I am returning to Shirdi.  I don't know why but it feels right to go.  There's a calling.  Besides, the perfect table of travelling friends are also leaving today.  I will pack with the flow of tides and leave with the young German couple to Mangalore.

Only trouble is all the trains are booked to Mumbai.  Luckily for me there's a government bus leaving day after tomorrow, which had one seat left.  I'll stay one night in Mangalore, catch the morning bus, which gets in Mumbai early sunrise next day.  Buses to Shirdi normally go in the evening, so I'll have a whole day in Mumbai, unless I get a taxi, which is a bit extreme given my current finances.  Something will work out. I'm sure.  Just go with the flow.  This is India and magic happens.

Aside from no other country that has sought so deeply to understand the ways of spirit, India is the most accepting place on Earth.  OK, there are going to be exceptions and discrimination and intolerance but for a foreigner that finds England too cold and judgemental, India is a breath of fresh air. I suppose too that being accepted helps me accept myself and in return I grow, developing my personality that touches my spirit.

There is a quote from the Rig Veda.  One of the oldest written
hymns in the world.  In fact, probably the oldest.

'Ayam nijo paro veti hanana laghucetasam
Udaracharitanam tu vasudhaiva kutumbakam'.

It means:

'Only base minds reckon whether one be kin or stranger
Men of noble conduct take the whole world for their home.'

This was written about 5000 years ago and today it is still prevalent.

God Bless India.

I'm going to wait till I arrive in Mumbai to decide what the next step will bring.

Om
