It's a funny thing isn't it?  Life.

We know happiness doesn't exit in material things, they are immaterial when it comes to true happiness, eternal happiness.  If the house got burnt down you'd be sad but you'd be happy you came out alive.  That's the main thing and so, things come and go.  People come and go.

Time goes,  beliefs come, dreams are sometimes lost.

Sometimes, as a filmmaker and writer, I wonder why I'm doing what I'm doing, why it's so hard, why don't I give up?  I'm inspired to write about this, as I have learnt a great life lesson.

I've discovered that the ancient epics of India have taught me a great deal.   I remember Arjuna in Bhagavad Gita who faced a battle he didn't want to fight and I remember Lord Ram who had to live in a forest for 14 years in exile, until He could reclaim his kingdom.  Meanwhile, save his wife Sita from the demon Ravana, who kidnapped her.  I remember the lessons.  'Do the work, fight the daily struggle with a clean heart and let God do His work.  The outcome is not in our hands."

Therefore, through blood, sweat and a lot of tears, I think eternal happiness isn't just seeing the impermanence of material things but seeing that the mind isn't fixed.   Each day is a new start.  Stress only exists because it's an accumulation.  And so when things need to be done against surmountable odds, it's necessary to remember joy exists in spontaneity and to be free.  Just do the work and let the powers that be, take care of the rest.

Like 'The Sun' newspaper wrote yesterday on the front headline, 'God Has Control.'

I know!  Weird one that one -  funny thing life!
