Countertop Design Trends: Tuscan charm
The February winner of the "Best of Cambria" calendar is the Brookline
Homes of Denver. Brookline Homes was recognized for an Old World
Tuscan-style farmhouse called La Grande Cannoli.
The gourmet kitchen, featured in the 2006 Denver Parade of Homes, was
awarded first place for best main kitchen area. True to the spirit of
a traditional Tuscan home, the primary gathering spot is the kitchen.
The uncluttered design accommodates the need for space and is
highlighted with the chiseled Cambria edge treatment and the massive
arched stone hood surround.
"It is truly an honor to be recognized with the Best of Cambria for
2007," said Scott Carter, president of Brookline Homes. "Cambria’s
look, durability and the fact that it is maintenance-free made it the
perfect choice for this showcase."
Cambria is a stain-resistant, non-porous material that is stronger and
easier to care for than other natural stone surfaces like marble,
granite or limestone.
