For example: miércoles, 2 abril 2014 is wrong, it missing ''de'' ---> check the link (http://tinyurl.com/hnga5vy)
It should be ''miércoles, 2 de abril de 2014''.

Is that really always the case that it is written like that?
I just looked at a random article of a Spanish newspaper, and it display the date like this:
