Today I am making available a new feature for the countdown clock that
allows you to restart a countdown at regular intervals. Maybe the
easiest way to explain it is with an example.

This example counts down to the end of the working day on Friday:
http://xrl.in/6ktm
Once that's reached it starts over counting down to next Friday 5pm.

To use this feature, go to the countdown clock generation page
http://www.7is7.com/otto/countdclock.html and chose a starting date
(in our example, a specific Friday 5pm), then tick the tickbox left of
"Check to restart count at regular intervals." indicate the frequency
or period over which your countdown must restart (for every week,
enter 1 in the "Weeks" field, etc...).

It also works "the other way", counting time elapsed since a specific
time. For instance minutes and seconds passed this hour:

I'm planning to expand on this feature when I have some more time.

Hi Hardatwork,

Looks like you've found a bug! I'll try to fix that today, in the mean time instead of filling in 1 day you can fill in 24 hours and it works fine.

Here's an example:

Do note though that the timezone is set for the initial timezone of the initial date, so you also need one for winter time (standard time). You can do this by picking the start day on a day that is on standard time (for instance December 12th):

Take care and thanks for the feedback!

Otto,

Your the best!  thanks for all your hard work, its really appreciated.  I am trying to
figure out how I can setup a reaccuring countdown clock that reset every daily.
Bascially we can ship products by 3pm MST (Denver Time) daily.  How would I
configure your clock?  Your help would be greatly appreciated.  Also, would it be able
to compute weekdays vs weekends?

Hi Again,

It was just a typo, the bug is fixed now (be sure to reload the page). Thanks for getting it to my attention!

I forgot to answer your question about weekdays vs weekends. Unfortunately I don't have such a function implemented at this time. Though it sounds useful, so I'll put that on the list of things to look in to in the future. I think it can also get more complicated because there are national holidays that people may want to skip too, and these are different for every country.

Thanks

Otto
