I added your countdown clock to my web site (web site is generated
from a free "Google" resource). I pasted the iFrame code into my web
page and the clock appears to work.......it is a countdown to Jan. 1,
2011 which represents the date that some very important EPA diesel
engine emissions regulations come into affect. I have a part time
consulting business dealing with air quality issues.

Anyway, the countdown clock works great, but when I access my site
from another computer, the countdown date reverts back to Jan. 1, 2010
instead of Jan. 1, 2011. I have saved the correct date on my web site
and every time I pull up the site on my computer the date is correct.
It's just a problem when someone else pulls up my web site on their
computer.

Any help would be appreciated. Many thanks.

Without seeing the code that you pasted (or your webpage) it's hard to
see what's going on. The only thing I can think of is that you have
added code for a changeable countdown clock, which is one where each
user can set their own target date. It defaults to the next January
1st, unless you've changed it in your browser, which is what you
describe.

Try to generate the code again on the countdown clock generation page:
http://www.7is7.com/otto/countdclock.html
Be sure NOT to uncheck the checkbox to the left of the text "Check to
fix target date.Uncheck for changeable target date."
And fill in your date below the checkbox (not in the sample clock on
the right).

If you still have problems, paste the code you are using into your
reply here (or the URL of your page), then it will be easier to see
what's going on. If you don't want to post that you can also mail it
to me (see bottom of the countdown clock page for contact info).

Otto,

Thanks for your prompt reply!  Actually, just after I sent the attached email I started looking at the instructions again and fixed the problem.  It's as you stated, the check box for changeable target date was unchecked which was giving web page users the option of putting in their own date.  I made sure the box was checked and also went to the "remaining time display option" and everything is working fine now.
The countdown clock looks great on my web site and it provides a rather dramatic message about an important upcoming date that will have a significant impact upon the environment in the U.S.

Thanks for your help.
