I need help how to completely uninstall/delete the 7 zip cause its messing some of my files icon, the drivers pack solution and win setup from usb zip files (zip files with .exe extension) icon has permanently change to 7zip icon no matter how many times I delete and re download my files its still the same and when I check the files properties the file description says 7z SFX I don't know why it happens because the 7zip is already uninstalled and also the 7zip file manager still shows in the windows search bar even it is uninstalled but when I click it nothing happens.
I need to fix it cause the files that are affected are the files that I need in school and I don't want to format my pc just to remove it, I just wanna know how to completely remove the 7zip just for a while cause I don't really want to use winrar.
In this post we will see how to deploy WinRAR including license using SCCM. WinRAR is a very popular program that can be used to open, create and decompress RAR, ZIP and other format files. WinRAR compresses the files using a special algorithm and in turn saves lot of disk space. When you compress the files, WinRAR also allows you to protect the file with password. There are many other interesting features that comes with this program. You need to download and try out this software. Most of all WinRAR is available for Android as well. This program is compatible with almost all the operating systems. You can always download the WinRAR copy from here.
To deploy WinRAR including license using SCCM, follow these steps. I have got the WinRAR setup file, license file and uninstall script in one folder. I will provide the code inside uninstall script in the next steps. You could also add the winrar icon in the same folder.
Launch the configuration console. Right click Applications and click Create Application. On the create application wizard, choose Manually specify the application information. Click Next.
To detect the app presence, use setting type as File System. We will use File to detect the presence of app. Specify the path as %ProgramFiles%\WinRAR\ and file name as WinRAR executable. Click Next.
How do you activate the Nuance PDF after you install ?. If this requires manually entering the key, it is not possible to do it via SCCM. If copying a license file to specific folder activates the product then this can be achieved using SCCM. Check with Nuance support on ways to license the product.
No, you don't need to download it again. The problem these users were having was that .ISO files were associated with WinRAR meaning they looked and acted like archives instead of disc images. Just open WinRAR if you have it installed and change the setting I mentioned above and as soon as you hit OK the ISO file should have a different icon and you should then be able to burn the disc image rather than having WinRAR open the disc image's contents.
You can tell if this is the problem by looking at the copy of Kai Linux you downloaded. If it looks something like the image below then that means .iso files are associated with WinRAR and you need to change that setting I mentioned above:
I have download the kali from its official site. It downloaded in zip file. while I want to burn in pendrive but it required iso file ..but I didn't get iso file ..please how to make the iso file form zip file ...?
If you extract the files from the ZIP file you should be able to create an ISO using a tool such as PowerISO (the free trial should work as long as the size of the ISO is 300MB or less) or IsoCreator. Using either tool you should be able to convert the extracted files into an ISO disc image then burn the ISO to a CD to install Linux.
Hi guys
exlie360 helped as well for solve this problem
If it confused you and you did not get that
I'll give you an easier way to solve this problem
All things you have to do is Uninstall Winrar when you want choose .iso file for your installation
After uninstalling WinRar you can see the icon of iso file you have downloaded will be like this picture
(Like a Compact Disk)
Then choose your iso file for installation and after that download winrar and install it if you need that for extract other files
Goodluck ?
If you want to skip the step of uninstalling WinRAR every time, you can simply open WinRAR and click on Settings and select the Integration tab then uncheck the box next to ISO under Associate WinRAR with then click OK and that will unassociate WinRAR with ISO files so that they appear and work as they normally would as disc images in Windows for opening and burning, and you can still open an ISO file with WinRAR by right-clicking on it and selecting Open with WinRAR so you can still view and extract or edit its contents using WinRAR without losing those default Windows viewing and burning functions.
You also do not need to extract it or burn to USB or DVD. Both VMware and Virtualbox can both install Kali Linux directly from a path referenced to the ISO image where you downloaded it to or saved it to.
Yep, that's true because they support mounting ISO files as virtual CD/DVD-ROM drives, so no burning is necessary for use in a VM. Instructions on creating a VM and booting it from an ISO to install an OS can be found here. I'm sure there are similar instructions for VMWare out there somewhere as well; I just pulled up the page for VirtualBox as that's the VM software I'm personally more familiar with as I've used it many times in the past.
Following the instructions found here should correct the issue for you. The problem is that ISO files are associated with WinRAR I suspect, which causes ISO files not to function as disc images since WinRAR treats them like archives (similar to ZIP files).
x86 64-bit (right click and choose Save-As or Save Link As) select a folder to save the file to. Once the download has completed you can point VMware or VirtualBox to that ISO image to use for creating the virtual machine.

x86 32-bit (right click and choose Save-As or Save Link As) select a folder to save the file to. Once the download has completed you can point VMware or VirtualBox to that ISO image to use for creating the virtual machine.

The easy way to change Winrar into English language is not uninstall and install again. What you need to do is just remove 2 files that's all.
Go to C:\Program Files\WinRAR folder remove RarLng.dll and Winrar.lng.
If winrar change English to other language maybe is cause by windows region and language setting. Go to control panel find Region and Language -> Administrative tab -> Change system locale to English.
You can't change the WinRAR language directly from the application's interface, but you can do that if you delete RarLng.dll and Winrar.lng files from (C:) > Program Files > WinRAR directory. If you can't find these files, remove the program from your computer using its uninstaller or Add or Remove Programs feature (Control Panel > Uninstall a program) and download and install the English version directly from the official web page.
Thanks for the screenshots. Very helpful. It seems that the Apps & features screen is remembering something that was previously uninstalled. In my past experience, windows would ask me if I wanted to remove such an entry from the list. But apparently it is not giving you that option.
