Anyone know of a way to get a list of all the Goko AI names? I don't want them to show up in the goal stats. I suppose I could just transcribe them all manually, there's a limited number of adventure levels.

I used some heuristics to come up with a mostly-complete list.  There may be some false positives in there though.

Thanks! That helps a bunch!

There's some missing too. Witch Jezebel, Thief, a few others. Well, I'll find more bots if they ever creep up into the goal leaderboard page, which they will if I keep adding more days worth of games. I'm still at the stage where each time I add a day, I find new bugs, so I can't just run the whole thing and let it update a few months worth of data, The latest one was with BoM as an activated Treasure Map. Ugh.

I could just make adventure games not count for goals, but man, goals are just for fun anyway, no reason to deny them to people just playing adventures and stuff. And old goko games didn't report whether they were adventure games or not anyway.

Is summarize_game_stats_for_days extremely slow in production, or just on my test setup?

I ask because for me, the step where it individually checks whether each game is in the database ("if game_stats_col.find({'_id.game_id': game['_id']}).count() == 0:") slows everything to a crawl. Is fixing (or, more likely, working around) this worth doing or is it a problem with my test rig? I do know that my setup is woefully inefficient, so perhaps the speed issue with this step isn't relevant on the actual councilroom server.

Hm, so I have a question about card_info/card_list.csv . It has all the cards and so I added Dark Ages to it, sorted alphabetically as before, things worked fine. I've been running tests, imported two months worth of goko, good stuff. Anyway, now I added Guilds, and that broke a lot of existing stats which had been calculated earlier. Since I'd re-sorted the indices alphabetically, since that's how they were sorted when I started, cards already in the database now had the wrong indices!

So what do I need to do to make sure that updating CR to include Dark Ages and Guilds doesn't mess up existing games? Should I have inserted the new cards at the *end* of card_list.csv, with sequential indices, rather than inserting into the middle alphabetically? (Did they get alphabetized when cr found its recent new home?) Or do you expect to re-parse all the old games when a new expansion gets added?

The database expects that the card with the Index field 7 is always card with index field 7.  This lets code that generates game documents use small ints in the place of card name strings.  You can either rebuild the world with your new indexes, or easier, just keep the indexes stable and make new cards have higher indexes than the existing ones.

To be clear, the order in the csv file doesn't matter, but the index fields for existing cards can never change.

Ah, sounds good, I'll put the indices back to where they were then so the world doesn't need to be rebuilt. Thanks.

Sorry to barge in on your discussion . . . I just googled the name 'Gibiansky' and you guys came up!
I just sent this message to Andrew:
Now, this is for Max! Here it is:

Sorry to email you 'cold'.
My name is Karen Wagner Kinser, and I think that we may be distantly related.
Are you related to Frances, Margaret and/or Morris Gibiansky - who were the
children of Celia Squire Gibiansky?

I have been doing genealogical research on my grandmother, Mollie Squire Margolefsky's family.
I knew NO one. I didn't even know if she had brothers or sisters, but have since found
all of her 5 siblings' families. Celia was her younger sister. She apparently 'went by' several
different names. She is listed on ship manifests as Sophie or Bashere. Then she is listed in
the 1925 census, as 'Celia'.

I have all sorts of info on the family - and would like to see if there is anyone else that
you can put me in contact with . . . so we can compare notes and put the puzzle together.

Thanks!

A few other 'found relatives' are artists, too. In the genes!
