My Brothers All,
The initial email I sent out regarding STAND Training had links that only brought up Spanish Language forms and data.
Below, courtesy of Fr. Dauses, are the correct links for the STAND Training and the English Language forms related to the training.
When you complete the background forms, they go to Kathy Beard at SABB Parish Office.
But, whatever you do, please complete the STAND Training as soon as you can.
Be sure to print your completion cetrtificate when you pass the course.
There is a test at the end and you need to get 75% right, which means you cannot miss more than 5 of the 20 questions.
If you do, you can take the test again.  Best bet is to pass it on first try.
Please let me know when you have completed the training so we have a record of which Knights completed the STAND Training.
Thank you and have a Happy Thanksgiving.
Regards,
Larry

Dear Parishioners,

We are blessed with a parish community that encompasses the broad spectrum of life, both young and elderly.  Because we have so many young families with children, and have so many young people actively involved in the parish’s many activities and ministries, it is incumbent on us to ensure that we provide a safe and healthy environment for our children and young people.  For several years. the Archdiocese of Baltimore has had in place strict requirements with regard to Child and Youth Protection.

Part of those requirements insist that ALL adults (age 18 and over) who are part of ANY ministry or activity involving children and youth be fully certified, screened, and trained in Child and Youth Protection policies.

Because we have so many ministries and activities that consistently incorporate children and youth, I would like to encourage as many adults as possible to be certified and trained.  It is better to have the certification and training done in advance, should you ever wish to participate in ANY ministry or activity involving children (including such things as Winter Relief, and Faith-Full Families Events, to name but two).

If you are an adult who will be volunteering with children or youth at a parish or school in the Archdiocese of Baltimore you must complete the following steps:

Complete the Application for Volunteer Service (Español)

Complete the Driving Record Check Consent Form (only if you will be driving for a parish or school) (Español)
  • Submit three references (on the Application for Volunteer Service)

  • Complete the Online STAND Training (when prompted, use standrewbythebay as Parish Name and archbalt as the password)

Click on any of the links above to link to the materials.  When finished, just return the completed materials to the Parish Office.

If you are having trouble with these links, go to http://www.archbalt.org/about-us/child-youth-protection/volunteers/index.cfm
and refer to the first section entitled "Volunteers (Adult)."

For the safety and protection of our children, I would encourage you to be certified and trained in accord with Archdiocesan  Child and Youth Protection standards.

I thank you for all you do in service to the Lord and to our parish.

Blessings,
Fr. Jeff Dauses
