Thanks Chris.

William, the best thing to do right now would be to ensure the
pkg_resources package is available. pkg_resources is included in
either distribute [1] or setuptools [2]. Personally, I'd use
distribute.

However, we probably shouldn't be relying on pkg_resources for
something so important. I'll add a ticket.
