_stats - support for built in functions

I've briefly searched the mailing list for support for built in functions (_stats). I'd like to define a view with a reduce function which returns _stats.
Is this possible?

Hi Ted,

In CouchDB, this should just work, and you don't really need any
support from CouchDB-Python for it. Or are you defining your views in
CouchDB-Python? In that case I'm not sure if anyone's tried this
before. It should probably be easy to implement, somehow...
