I'm neither for or against moderating. But how do you determine if
anyone is a spam bot?

I can make the list moderated if that's the consent and promote
Sebastian to mod. :) I just think it's a little over the top given
that this has been the first spam incident.

yeah, maybe it is really a bit over the top, but if we get more spam this is quite a good solution. It's quite easy to see if a new poster is a spammer or not. in 99% you can tell from the subject if it's spa, and don't even need to inspect the message itself.

We do this for the couchdb Book List and it is usually immediately obvious who is spam..
