Hi,

I was at a tech talk in Copenhagen where J Chris Anderson talked about CouchBase 2.0 Beta. I got very entrigued, and finally found a side project to use CouchBase for (A specialized bug reporting tool), for which I would like to use Node.js with.
The question is what the state of the CouchNode driver is at. I don't plan to launch for a couple of months (probably 6), so I am in no hurry, but is it production ready as it is now?

Best Regards

Hello Philip,

The Node.js SDK (Couchnode) is not yet production ready, as you can see in the repository https://github.com/couchbase/couchnode  the development teams is actively working on it.

There still some work to do (add some operations, on the design/view API) and some more testing but Couchnode is in a good shape.

It will be great for the community if you have some time to spend on it and use it as an early adaptor (the API is stable now) and you can provide feedback using the JIRA that has been open for this new client http://www.couchbase.com/issues/browse/JSCBC

I have used the current version with no issue as you can see in this blog post:

We'll keep the community posted about the status of the Node.js SDK, and an official beta.

Regards
Tug
