Doc too large for admin consol

running:  version 2.2.0 enterprise edition (build-821)
Only one doc has this problem. It is the largest in the bucket but not huge.
In the documents list when I click to view the doc, I get
Warning: Editing of document with size more than... 
There is no edit button and the delete, save and save as are all disabled
An installation running  2.1.1 enterprise edition (build-764)
does not have this problem

Is there a config setting? I have seem some discussion on Stackoverflow but it appears to refer to earlier versions.

Document size is limited at compile time if I am not mistaken. I am not so sure about the supported document size on the console, it might be possible that the script rendering the document and controlling the editors logic might have issues with documents exeeding a given size and/or complexity.

I just started working on a project using document sizes of around 5 megs and I've recently noticed that message as well.  I don't mind too much the fact that I can't edit the docs, (thought it would be nice to have some way to open them from the admin).  Actually, come to think of it, the "preview random document" bit in the edit view screen doesn't have the same limit which can be kind of annoying since it takes a long time to load and makes the page super long if the document is a ton of text.  It's probably a bit inconsistent to not show the document on the "doc edit" screen due to size, but to show it on the edit view page.
 
That aside, I actually was going to put in a ticket.  Once I've got like 6-10 documents in the bucket, just loading the list of bucket keys takes forever, uses tons of network bandwidth, and eventually just errors out and says the bucket is empty.  it appears to be loading the entire docs into my browser which is a little scary when they're all around 5 Megs and the server is across a VPN.  Of course, the biggest issue being not that it's slow, but that it just errors out and tells me the bucket is empty after a bit of "loading".
