(poem) ocean wave skin

ice cream tango through witchcraft curtain
blush red and open hand me something like fruit
little berries humbly picked
and swatted flies their wings pierced
by lime seeds and swollen teeth of spiders
just to see you smiling for the crowd
as you spin and carousel
this item you have deposited
is hardly worth the coin i paid
the man at the door
who took my cloak and said
i could retrieve it at the end
but flashed a knife
and felt the white hot needle grip
my copper skin
which broke like ocean wave
against the shore.
