headphone cupcake and marble headache
pushed icicle into my temple
and retrieve files downloaded
and detleted
downloaded and deleted.
struck up a conversation
with megabyte and gigalitre
until humour overloaded and flowed
across the motherboard
but all i heard were voices
and they sound like crickets in the ceiling
just like crickets in the ceiling
they were crickets in the ceiling
dressed like crickets in the ceiling
don't cross my wires, i'm not retreating.
i was stricken on the asphalt
and dismembered on the concrete
you were leaden on the snowfield
you were streaming down the sunset
alley and smoketail whipped behind you
until impact made the cushion
and explosion made the pillow
and feathers came to drown us
they melted all the floor tiles.
the fan which cooled my hard drive
was lifted from the table
and swung out like a comet
until everything was ashes.
