Tax Rebate Scheme 2025

Dear Club representative,

 

Reference is being made to the Tax Rebate Assistance related to Nurseries payments made from parents for fees paid during year 2025.

 

As in previous years (since the 2022 financial year), the same procedure will apply. Sports organisations are required to complete and submit the attached sheet to SportMalta, including all necessary details for parents who have requested to participate in the tax rebate scheme.

 

This approach has been adopted as part of our ongoing effort to safeguard the environment. By implementing this eco-friendly measure, we aim to significantly reduce the need for printed documents. Should queries arise, or should the Commission for Revenue / MTCA request a sample, we will ask you to provide a copy of the relevant receipt. You are therefore reminded of the importance of issuing proper receipts for all sports fees received.

 

Please note that lists can only be endorsed by SportMalta and forwarded to the MTCA for tax rebate processing, if the sports organisation is fully compliant– which means it’s mandatory to have a valid SLC certification during year 2025.

 

The MTCA has imposed stricter deadlines for tax rebate processing timeframes, therefore, you are kindly requested to refer to the attached sheet and send the full list by latest Friday 30^th January 2026. Our team will validate all the lists submitted, and send the eligible lists to MTCA by the stipulated deadline.
