I download and tried Kutools for Excel and I Do Not recommend it. I've been using excel for over 20 years (I work in accounting and finance) and the following are the reasons why I don't recommend Kutools:
In summary, I feel that paying for Kutools for Excel is a giant waist of money, if you are going to pay for something, spend the money on an Excel training course, you spend just as much of your time in learning and get way more benefit!
@gkbluestocking I have been using Kutools for Outlook for several months. It seems to work ok up to a point. Numerous msgs with their tech support indicate they're aware of the problems but no commitment as to when they will be fixed. One nice feature is the ability to block multiple domains at once. However, when I do so the count of blocked domains doesn't change. I can't tell if no new ones are added to the blocked list or if the counter doesn't update. New blocked domains appear to be added randomly so there's no organized list to confirm new ones have been added to those previously blocked.
If the Excel is a standard install, everything is OK. If Excel has the Kutools add-in ( -for-excel.html) installed and active the excel process runs (and is visible in task manager until killed), but it never displays. Disabling the add-in restores normal functionality.
If I add some additional code to interact with the excel application then still nothing happens if the add-in is active. However, if Excel is started first and then the AutoIt code is run, it is able to interact with the Excel session as normal.
It completes that line, if I add a MsgBox call to the next line, then I see the message box OK, but the Excel does not show up. Equally, my empty GUI window is visible and reactive to its close event. So the AutoIt process is still good, it's just Excel does not complete its launch. Perhaps this is another Office 365 feature...
Please note that the first sheet that is generally seen when opening your xls dataset is the main dataset. This dataset contains a variable named _index. If you go to the next sheet (which should be your first repeat group sheet) you should see a variable named _parent_index.
Theoretically, the number of cases in your first sheet (default sheet) is always less then or sometimes equal to the next sheet (that contains the repeat group response). The two sheets can be merged based on your analysis requirement. Please note that the cases from _parent_index should always be matched and merged from those with the _index or vise-versa (i.e. as per your analysis requirement).

Thanks so much for mentioning the KUTOOLS for Excel. In addition, those looking at excel scripts may also be able to work with VBA which has a lot of online resources from different people such as this one
Simple merging sheets can be done through various ways.
Here the main sheet is to be merged with secondary sheets based on the parent index. For eg.
Family Data
Family 1
Family 2
Family 3
