Hi Linus,

I'm curious about PoP-parties.

How did the one(s) around new years go?
Did anyone get a token?

Did you use any of the code in cothority/pop? (The link on
https://pop.dedis.ch/#links is a 404.) Any other tools or material?

Is "Pseudonym Parties: An Offline Foundation for Online Accountability
(PRELIMINARY DRAFT)" the most recent written text on this?

Are you planning on more parties?

Thanks,
Linus

If I remember Linus’ report correctly, there were around 30 participants who all got tokens enabling them to participate in a simple online application to up-/down-vote 33C3 talks. I am sure he can/will elaborate on that point in more details. :)

Sure, the PoP-code (which was used at 33C3) is available on GitHub, see: https://github.com/dedis/cothority/tree/master/pop

Our latest paper on Proof-of-Personhood with applications to cryptocurrencies can be found over here: https://zerobyte.io/publications/2017-BKJGGF-pop.pdf
It will be presented by the end of this week in Paris at the IEEE Security and Privacy on the Blockchain event, in case you are around: http://prosecco.gforge.inria.fr/ieee-blockchain2016/

Although we haven’t announced it officially (yet), we have (preliminary) plans to do the next PoP-party at our blockchain summer school in June, see here: https://blockchain-summer.epfl.ch/.
