Bowdoin College’s Program of Neuroscience invites applications for a full-time tenure-track faculty appointment in Neuroscience at the Assistant Professor level, beginning July 1, 2026, with a preference for candidates whose research involves clinical and/or computational approaches to their areas of Neuroscience research. Areas of study may include, but are not limited to, disorders involving public health/mental health, sensory perception, neuroendocrinology, gut-brain axis, substance-use, development, aging, and sleep. The teaching load is three courses per year and anticipated to include a mid-level lab course, an upper-level seminar, and a Neuroscience elective or introductory level course related to the candidate’s area of expertise. A PhD in Neuroscience, Psychology or related discipline is expected by the date of appointment; post-doctoral research is preferred. Bowdoin is particularly interested in candidates dedicated to undergraduate teaching and with a promise of long-term successful research and/or creative work.
