Press Conference in Durban

[COSUA]

I would like to start by giving you the background of COSUA and the
aims and objectives of COSUA.COSUA is COALITION OF SUPPORTERS UNION OF
AFRICA.The aim of the organisation is to unite African supporters in
Africa to support any sports and support African sportsman and
sportswoman participating in any sports.This spirirt was realised
during the 2010 world cup when we had Ghana remain during the knock
out stages,the whole of Africa was supporting Ghana and most
supporters were wearing Ghana national soccer T-shirts to show support
for Ghana.


COSUA decided to bring their conference to Durban to show support for
2020 Durban olympic bid.Unfortunately our government decided to cancel
the Durban bid and African supporters are not happy with this
decision.COSUA is trying to persuade our government not to cancel the
bid because the whole of Africa wants to see olympic games coming to
Africa for the first time.


We think the olympic congress taking place in Durban will be a good
opportunity for Durban to launch its bid for 2020 olympic games but
everything will depend on whether the government is prepared to change
their decision.COSUA is prepared to help the South African government
to raise funds for the olympic bid.The funds that will be raised will
be payed directory to the government account.


We will be holding a press conference on the 7th July at Elangeni
hotel from 16.00-17.30 We would like to invite you to attend our press
conference.


The president of COSUA Advocate Sarfo Abebrese is in Durban now and he
will be in our press conference and lets use this opportunity to
promote Durban because the president of COSUA fully supports the
Durban bid.


The COSUA conference will start from the 18th July 2011 and end on the
23rd July 2011.The conference will take place in Durban.We expect
approximately 300 delegates from 53 African countries to attend the
conference in Durban.
