Mad Scientist lab coat

I've been thinking about next year's fencon Theme.

I'd like an old fashion lab coat like Dr. Kildar or seen in the
monster moviews of the 40's.

Officer's Civil War pattern gotten thru Simplicity or McCallas Could
be modified for that button down look on the side.

Which then got me to thinking. Becky do you know any civil war
seamstresses that might have patterns for Sale or reuse?
