Good morning group...

Our minerature doberman found another frog while we were pinning up some terneras...i did not think he would make it   ..

Called vet but she said was not much she could do since he was already well affected....convulsions...he peed and pooped on himself....very labored breathing...stiff as a board followed by uncontrolled attempts to run   ... even though not able to stand. .

Little by little he came around...after 3 hours he could stand again.  

This is his third time.. i guess we have a frog junkie...

And sam...not very deep..

Everyone knows i am a loving passive patient and sensitive fellow.. lol

You are correct about your dog being a frog junkie.  I have a Jack Russel Terrier that is a "sapo" junkie.  I have to make sure if possible that no sapos are lurking in my back patio.  I also keep some atropine to inject him so I am able to open his jaws and wash out his mouth with soap and water.  Then I force a couple of carbon pills down his throat to absorb

some of the poison.  I have managed to save him several times and once at the vets.  I guess the Bruncas knew what they were doing when they put that stuff or their arrows.

Our jack russel was also...we let him out at daylight one morning only to find him dead a few hours later...he was only 4 years old...fat and healthy...no sign of any trauma.  Just laying in the grass next to an i ternal road on my farm...

We looked him over with magnifying glass thinking was a snake...nothing...

I am very famaliar with atripine...my pop was a crop duster...i got an overdose of menthyl parathion ....when a teenager helping him poison...it completely paralized me...the atripine countered it ... soon i was able to vomit as i have never before...lol

2 days in the hospital and i was better...but very weak for a few days...could not get enough milk....but unlike my dogs...i learned my lesson.

I did not know it was effective for frog juice...thanks...i will try to find some...
