Black coral

Raised in snake country in louisiana...we have coral and pine snakes...very similar coloring but only one is poisonous...
But today i opened the container to find a black coral  .. my peon freaked out ...
Never have i seen a black coral...

A small community 6.5 km south of guayabo...the community is a sparcely populated area of farms.  It is called san pedro de guayabo de bagaces...

The snake group replied with Ojo de gato anillada (leptodeira nigrofasciata) not poisonous

Wow, Gene!

You caught yours on the edge of their normal habitat:



That other recent nearby observation (blue dot on top the 'C' in Costa Rica) of the Black-banded
Cat-eyed Snake was by herpguy where he caught one crossing the road in Cañas over by the
Puma rescue center.

A much nicer snake than the Terciopelos you normally catch!
