A Colecao Folha de Musica Classica (Folha Collection of Classical Music) is a series of 36 books and CDs that introduce the most famous composers and works of classical music. It was launched in September 2005 by the Brazilian newspaper Folha de S. Paulo, in partnership with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. Each edition consists of a 60-page book with the biography, highlights and achievements of a composer, as well as a CD with some of their main works, performed by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.
The collection covers a wide range of musical periods and styles, from the Baroque to the Romantic, from the opera to the symphony, from Bach to Mahler. The aim of the collection is to offer a comprehensive and accessible introduction to classical music, as well as to enrich the cultural background and musical appreciation of the readers. The collection is also accompanied by a website that provides additional information, audio samples and interactive quizzes.

The collection is divided into three parts, each containing 12 editions. The first part focuses on the composers who shaped the classical music tradition, such as Mozart, Beethoven, Chopin and Wagner. The second part explores the diversity and richness of classical music genres, such as concertos, chamber music, ballets and operas. The third part presents some of the most influential and innovative composers of the 19th and 20th centuries, such as Brahms, Debussy, Stravinsky and Shostakovich.
