Conformal symmetry and, correspondingly, the trace anomaly belong to
the most relevant manifestations of quantum field theory in curved
spacetime. We report on new results concerning representations of
anomaly-induced effective action of gravity, low-energy limit, and
the new renormalizable model in 4D, where the guiding symmetry is
local conformal symmetry.
