Robotics Challenge Students,
(please forward to any interested students)
Welcome to the new semester. We had some great Robotics Workshops in Nov 2012 and now it is time to start thinking about your robot entries. Some teams have been working on designs and others are just starting. There is a VERY wide skill range at the Challenge, from beginners to previous participants. The Colorado Space Grant Robotics Challenge is designed to challenge all levels.
It isn't too late or early to encourage your student team to get started. We have a new webpage and web address. The
spacegrant.colorado.edu/robotics will be re-activated within the week to point to the below link. We revamped our entire COSGC website just after the first of the year.
The Robotics Challenge rules, guidelines, Workshop Slides and Code, beacon information, and pictures from the Sand Dunes in 2012 are all posted on the website.
We will have our kick-off telcon on Wed Feb 6th at 3pm.
Passcode: 653996
It would be great to have at least one member of your team on the line for the kick-off telcon. If no member of your team is able to dial in, let me know and we will make arrangements. The telcon goal is to cover rules, suggested timelines, resources available to everyone, and help answer any questions teams might have.
Please email me your Team Point of Contact (i.e. student leader), the names and emails of all your team members, and your school name to get registered for the 2013 Robotics Challenge.
Happy Robot-ing!
Brian
