As a follow up from our Dec 8th meeting, if you are interested in
buying a digital camera and filters that allow you to photograph in
the near infrared wavelengths, see http://maxmax.com/

If you want to make inexpensive near infrared goggles (about $10 each)
so your students use their eyes to experience this normally invisible
world, see http://mvh.sr.unh.edu/mvhtools/ir_goggles.htm (working with
students, this helps them "trust" what the digital cameras are
recording in near infrared).

For reproducing the "not all black fabrics are equal" activity, see
http://mvh.sr.unh.edu/mvhinvestigations/near_ir_and_you.htm

This activity helps prepare the students to find the warmest, coldest,
fastest to heat up, and slowest to heat up location around the school.

Examples of the differences of the visible world and the world seen in
near infrared: http://mvh.sr.unh.edu/mvhinvestigations/near_ir_examples.htm

For an amazing site on photographing in the near infrared (and uv!),
