HW5 is counted as 2 HW grades ?

I heard that HW5 is counted as 2 HW grades, is it means that
if I have 100 for HW5, I don't have to turn in HW6 because 100 will
replace the lowest HW6 that I will not turn in. And I will have
HW5=HW6=100 ????

Hi,

No. You have to turn in HW6 which will be counted as 2 HWs. HW6 is very important because it will be counted as 2 HWs in all cases even if it is less than all the other HWs. HW6 will be counted as 2 HWs. One for itself and the other will replace the minimum grade among the other HWs even if it is lee than all of them.

hi, i don't want to create a new topic so I will post my question here

i had sent both the TAs a question by email (the same way i submit my
hw) asking for a meeting on Monday 12/06/2010 but it seems like the
TAs did not receive it. So my question is what I have to put in the
subject of the email to the TAs if I want to schedule a meeting with
one of the TA so that it will not be marked as spam ?

Yes. HW5 was counted as two HWs, BUT if it was less than all the other HWs, then it was counted as one HW. For HW6, The story is almost the same, but with a minor difference. HW6 will be counted as two HWs in all cases. This means that HW6 will replace the minimum grade among the other HWs even if it is less than all of them. This means that it can be advantage or disadvantage. I hope it is clear now.
