Hello,
We are busy working away to pull together the Corvallis Startup Weekend on 12/4-12/6 . We are working on putting together food for the event, planning the space, and pulling in mentors.
In order to get the juices flowing a bit, we are also working on two events to start things off.
On Tuesday 11/24, the normal CDNUG (Corvallis Dot Net users Group) regularly meets. We are going to meet a bit earlier than usual at 5:30 and have a conversation about Startup Weekend. As I understand it, Startup Weekend is buying the first round. Come with potential Team Members, Ideas and a thirst for trying something new.
As a bonus, Jason Mauer will talk about the Azure Platform, Microsofts foray into Cloud Computing. It promises to be interesting in a bunch of ways:

If you know anyone interested in Startup Weekend, please let them know about these meetings.
I have participated in Startup Weekend in Portland and learned a lot and met some very interesting people. And was able to help several of them make good connections and a couple to get new jobs.
This is a great way to explore new ideas, discover the strengths of new teammates and to engage deeply in actually doing something that has a result.
If there is anything that I can do that will help this process for you, please let me know.
