Hello,
You are getting this message because you previously expressed interest in a Startup Weekend in Corvallis.
I was recently was asked to come down to Corvallis on January 25-27 to be the facilitator for the Startup Weekend in Corvallis. I have been trying to be the facilitator for at least 5-6 events each year. I just finished doing Startup Weekends in Kirkland and in Bend. So I am happy to be invited back to Corvallis to engage in this project.
I always find exciting things coming out of Startup Weekend. It is a great chance to dive deep into an idea and pull the pieces together to test an idea and to form relationships around starting businesses.
I hope you are excited that Startup Weekend is happening again in Corvallis. I would like to ask you to take a look at the website at
http://willamette.startupweekend.org and to sign up to attend early, so that the momentum gets built up for the event. With Christmas around the corner, it will take extra effort to spread the word about this event. Could I ask you to please think of a couple people who you would like to explore and idea with and to invite them to join you at this startup weekend.
I got a note with the copy of the event notice. If you think someone might be interested in Startup Weekend, could you share the note below with them?
If there is anything that I can do that will help make startup weekend in Corvallis a great event for you, please let me know.
I am looking forward to enjoying the event with you.

WILLAMETTE STARTUP WEEKEND, JAN 25-27 2013, OSU CAMPUS
The entrepreneur-minded among us will have a golden opportunity to actually launch a startup around their ideas over the weekend of January 25-27! The first Willamette Startup Weekend, which is a collaborative event with sponsors from both Corvallis and Eugene, will be held that weekend on the OSU Campus (see Willamette.StartupWeekend.org).
It may seem impossible over just a weekend to form high-powered teams that take their ideas from concept to launch in to just 54 hours. But the Startup Weekend movement has launched thousands of companies and helped over 60,000 entrepreneur-minded people to find each other, and launch their dreams. By bringing together technical, business, and design talent from the region's communities as well as campuses, the entire process of launching a startup is jumpstarted and demystified. It is a process of learning startup methods by doing startup methods.
StartupWeekend.org, funded in part by the Kauffman Foundation, has become a global movement and growing network of passionate leaders and entrepreneurs on a mission to inspire, educate, and empower individuals, teams and communities. Come share ideas, form teams, and launch startups!
Please share this information with any friends who may be interested, and encourage them to take advantage of this opportunity.
This Willamette Startup Weekend is sponsored in part by:
