to Reprap
I couldn't get nomad to drive the reprap, so we used Kassie's
laptop as the host.
I had assembled a couple of connectors backwards. After fixing that
we verified the limit sensors were working. Firmware wanted to
drive two of the axes backwards. That is not fixed. All 3 axes
now home properly.

Using a heater and temperature sensor that Kassie supplied,
we tested melting plastic and tweaked in the extruder feed rate.
We used PLA because Kassie says that's much easier to work
with than the ABS we have.
At that point we called it a night.

Before next time:
Lengthen some wire bundles so the electronics is easier to reach.
I will adjust the z limit to work with the new heater.
I will poke around in nomad to see if I can get software to talk.
Next time:
Calibrate all dimensions.
Test print.
Make a list of what we need to build/buy to nail this down.

Possibly. It still has all the old mechanical problems.
We will have to replace some parts to fix that.
And we didn't run the heater plus extruder long enough
to prove it works better. But I strongly suspect
it does.

I won't have much time to work on it before the next meeting.
But it will probably be enough. Next week I will be
painting the dining room, where we have been meeting.
So I will move the meeting to the living room. Space
will be more constrained since the dining room clutter will
also have migrated to the living room. I think we will
fit.

Something I forgot to mention is that Kassie says our
reprap power supply is under powered. It is 5A and we
should have closer to 10A peak available. A measurement
I want to make once the unit is working is the average
power. That will spec the battery+charger that I want
to switch this to (in order to have power glitch resilience.)
CAUTION: Not for internal use. If swallowed,
use Microsoft software to induce vomiting.

I'm just curious if we are planning on meeting today?

どうぞおげんきで
