        We are having our 3rd Saturday Traditional Milonga in Newport on Saturday September 21 at the South Beach Community Center, 3024 S.E. Ferry Slip Road, Newport. OR 97365.
 
            6:30 - 7:30 pm:   Beginners Tango Lesson taught by Rafael.  You don't need a partner.
            7:30 - 10:00 pm:  Milonga - Dancing to traditional Argentine tango music DJ'd by Rafael.
 
       Price: Lesson and Dancing are free, but we will be taking donations for the rental of the South Beach Community Center and supplies.

                           ADDITIONAL TANGO EVENTS IN NEWPORT
Newport:
-- November 16 and 17
     We are pleased to announce that Tyler and Emma, talented tango dancers and teachers living in Bend, Oregon will be teaching in Newport on November 16 and 17.
 
  Saturday November 16 class 1 from 1:00 to 2:15pm and class 2 from 2:30 to 3:45 pm. Both classes will be suitable for beginner and intermediate dancers
  Sunday November 17 class 1 from 1:00 to 2:15pm and class 2 from 2:30 to 3:45 pm. The second day classes will be for intermediate dancers (but beginners and dancers of every level will benefit from all classes). All are welcome to attend with or without partners. Role-balance is not necessary.

  The classes are $20 each (drop-in) or $70 discounted price for all four if signed up for as a bundle. Pre-registration is a plus, but not necessary. Tyler and Emma will also teach at our pre-milonga class on November 16 from 6:30 to 7:30 PM.  For additional information contact Emma at emmac...@gmail.com

        George Foxmire is hosting a weekly Beginning Tango Class from 2 PM to 3 PM followed by a Practica from 3 PM to 5 PM at the Newport Recreation Center ($5 per person). George will also DJ the music for the Practica, which will follow the traditional pattern of Tandas and Cortinas.

---  Monthly Saturday Tango Plus event hosted by Olga from 6:30-10:00 PM
        6:30 - 7:30 PM -  Beginner's Tango Lesson hosted by George. Intro to the Plus section hosted by Bonnie Prater. You don't need a partner.
        7:30 - 10:00 PM  -  Milonga - Dancing two song tandas of Argentine tango to a mix of traditional, alternative, and non-tango songs. Full length swing, foxtrot, rumba, blues, etc. tunes between tandas. The songs can be danced to or treated as long cortinas. 

         Cost per person: Donation for rental of Community center.
