We are having our 3rd Saturday Traditional Milonga in Newport on Saturday February 15 at the South Beach Community Center, 3024 S.E. Ferry Slip Road, Newport. OR 97365.
6:30 - 7:30 pm: Beginners Tango Lesson taught by Rafael. You don't need a partner.
7:30 - 10:00 pm: Milonga - Dancing to traditional Argentine tango music DJ'd by Rafael.
Price: Lesson and Dancing are free, but we will be taking donations for the rental of the South Beach Community Center and supplies.

George Foxmire is hosting a weekly Beginning Tango Class from 1 PM to 2 PM followed by a Practica from 2 PM to 3:30 PM at the Newport Recreation Center ($5 per person). George will also DJ the music for the Practica, which will follow the traditional pattern of Tandas and Cortinas.

7:30 - 10:00 PM - Milonga - Dancing two song tandas of Argentine tango to a mix of traditional, alternative, and non-tango songs. Full length swing, foxtrot, rumba, blues, etc. tunes between tandas. The songs can be danced to or treated as long cortinas.
