Join us at the Alexander Farm Stand! Tuesdays 5-7pm. We grow each week! More vendors (farmers, producers and back yard gardeners, etc) are welcome!
Location: 1470 SE Alexander Ave's north yard - beside Coho
What: A grass roots organized farm stand to grow community and food production skills. Anyone who wants to sell can bring a table/canopy/etc or just a basket of goods.
Famous Farmers in Attendance:
- - Beene Farm – produce (greens, peas and more!)
- - 4 Wands Farm - goat cheese and baby goats again (hopefully)
- - And we have contact info for the cow share program that provides grass fed cows milk (up to 5 gallons a month/share).
- - The hosting farm has pepper starts (jalapeno and amish pimiento) and eggplant starts.
- - Expecting some strawberries, eggs and more from a few backyard farmers.
Fineprint: Please plan to contribute in some way to this market being successful. For example, show up early to set up, stay to clean-up or bring something to share the bounty (fruit, beverages, garden knowledge/demo, etc) Save nearby parking for visitors. Do not park on grass unless directed to. Musicians are welcome to create a jam circle. Please mind your dogs as there are bound to be many. Bring chairs to enjoy the evening through 7pm. Questions?
