at the Alexander Farm Stand! Tuesdays 5-7pm. We grow each week! More vendors are coming this week and more are welcome!
Location: 1470 SE Alexander Ave's north yard - beside Coho
What: A grass roots organized farm stand. Anyone who wants to sell can bring a table/canopy/etc.
Famous Farmers in Attendance: Luke Beene will have produce and starts to sell at this market. We expect 4 Wands Farm (veggies and starts) to attend as well as Birdsong Farm (pasture raised eggs and rabbit/duck meats to sell). And we have contact info for the new herd share program that provides grass fed cows milk (up to 5 gallons a month/share). And the hosting farm has tomato starts available 3 for $5.
Fineprint: Please plan to contribute in some way to this market being successful. For example, show up early to set up, stay to clean-up or bring something to share the bounty (fruit, beverages, garden knowledge/demo, etc) Save nearby parking for visitors. Do not park on grass unless directed to. Volunteers are needed to deliver extra produce to food bank, create road signage, rope off bee hive, help direct car traffic, general land tidy up, etc. Musicians are welcome to create a jam circle. Please mind your dogs as there are bound to be many. Bring chairs to enjoy the evening through 7pm. Questions? Contact Cheryl @ 541.220.1960
That’s it!
Now you won't have any excuse to be bored on Tuesday evenings. And it is the perfect event to procrastinate with to avoid doing any of your own projects.
And given the reputation of our neighborhood it is guaranteed to be fun, informative and lively!
