Join us at the South Town Farm Stand!  Tuesdays 5-7pm.  We grow each week!  More vendors are welcome!

Location:  East end of SE Alexander Ave's  - where the sidewalk ends! :-)

What: A grass roots organized farm stand. Anyone who wants to sell can bring a table/canopy/etc or just a basket of goods.

Famous Farmers in Attendance:

-      Beene Farm – yummy, fresh, beautiful produce

-      4 Wands Farm - goat cheese and other goat milk products

-      The hosting farm has basil, beets, potatoes and GARLIC! (hard and soft neck)

-      Expecting some eggs, zukes and more from a few backyard farmers.

Other opportunities for learning:

  • Organic milk from grass fed cow’s info - cow share program that provides grass fed cows milk (up to 5 gallons a month/share).
  • HOUR Exchange – local currency
  • Hosting garden has a small garbanzo and lentil beans crop – come see what they look like!
  • KNOWLEDGE SHARE ACTIVITY – cleaning and storing garlic for harvest.
  • NEXT WEEK ACTIVITY – Threshing lentil seeds and tour of top bar beehive.

Want to help share the local food love??

We’d love your help to make this market even more successful.  Here are some examples:
show up early to set up, stay to clean-up
    • Share this email with your friends and social groups
    • Like the Facebook posts
    • Offer to do an activity or demonstration at a future farm stand
    • Show up early to set up, stay to clean-up
    • bring something to share the bounty (fruit, beverages, garden knowledge/demo, etc)
    • Save nearby parking for alter-abled visitors
    • Musicians welcome
    • Mind your dogs as there are bound to be many

    That’s it!

Now you won't have any excuse to be bored on Tuesday evenings. And it is the perfect event to procrastinate with to avoid doing any of your own projects because given the reputation of our neighborhood it is guaranteed to be fun, informative and lively!
