This is an opportunity to visit IAE's newly built out campus near the airport, with demonstrations of invasive species control and the custom seed processing facility and short talks on the many projects.
Some highlights of IAE's work:
- key contributor to recovery of golden paintbrush, Kincaid's lupine, Willamette daisy
- Sagebrush in Prisons project - connecting ecology education for inmates with the raising of hundreds of thousands of sagebrush seedlings each year for restoration
- long term monitoring of endangered populations
- seed collection and propagation for restoration
- prairie restoration, habitat management (Herbert Farm, Marys Peak, Lupine Meadows,...)
