Friends -

With the recent downsizing announcement at HP, I wanted to let people know that we are interested in selling our internet business within the next year or two. If you know people who are leaving HP or retiring and might be interested in purchasing the business, please let them know about this opportunity.

We are Oregon Webstores LLC, which includes The Frog Store, Croak City Wholesale, Turtle Max Reptile Gifts, Frog Nirvana, and Bugs-N-Bees. All stores operate out of our warehouse in south Corvallis, and we are happy to give tours if anyone is interested. These are internet-only stores (no walk-in storefront), and all operate using X-Cart software. We currently run the stores with a staff of three part-time employees (2 FTE's) plus myself (4 days/wk) and my husband Randy (3 days/wk).

Our joint income after expenses is less than an HP manager position, but certainly sufficient to support a family. There is plenty of opportunity for an aggressive marketer to significantly grow these businesses, as we have been keeping them rather low-profile to fit our lifestyle. Pricing will be based on annual sales plus inventory and assets. Please feel free to forward this information to people who may be interested.

Good to hear from you.

Just curious if you've had much response to your email regarding selling the frogstore?

Sounds like you're not in a hurry to sell, but please do keep me in mind.
i'm not sure if my husband is ready for a big step like this, but i think we should at least evaluate the option.

How have you been? The Twinzgear website looks nice; has it been doing well?

 

We'd be happy to talk with you about the Frog Store, and give your husband a chance to check out the warehouse and the operation. We're not in a hurry, but would like to have it figured out well before our lease comes up for renewal in 2 years. And, we're assuming that we would spend up to a year in transition helping out the new owner. Does your husband have experience with computer and website stuff?
