Hi,

Facebook now has five levels of page admins available.  The highest level, manager, has the ability to add users and change other users' levels.  All existing page admins default to manager.  If you are concerned about this sort of security on your account(s) you might consider changing your admins settings -

Use the page as the page

Go into the 'manage' tab on the admin page and go into 'settings'.

About half way down the options list on the left is a link to 'admin roles'

Something new from Facebook - what a concept!

Peter

Have you tried the "promote this post" option? I just tried it for $5 - a 15% off daily wine deal. We'll see.

Jean - please share the results!

I have seen the option but have not tried it yet.

How could a person test how much of a lift you get over a 'regular' post for having used the promote feature?

No results yet but the campaign goes for three days.
I guess you can watch the insights graph and see if it goes up?

I mostly spent the $5 to see what happens. If it's nothing, I don't think it bodes well for FB.

What does $5 buy you?  A certain number of views?  Clicks?

Does it link to a status or to another page on your website with offer details?

Thanks,
Jason
